Like the first, but Ultra

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon was to-date the first and only game I received from The Pokemon Company to review alongside a lengthy and detailed embargo on the game. Ironically the game leaked online the same day that I received my review copies.

This game is in many ways similar to the original games but with more details in a ‘remixed’ story as well as lots of post-game content. This is when I realized that just because I have a game early doesn’t mean there is a large audience for people who want to see end-game content on release day. This caused me to have a more detailed tutorial strategy.

The ULTRAlocke

I teamed up with my friend PhillyBeatzU for my first ever randomizer play-through of a Pokemon Game on the channel. With the hired help of modders we were able to remodel many of the pokemon in the game, and with no details provided to us this was truly a surprise in every patch of grass we entered.

We decided that there were just TOO many awesome pokemon to do a ‘traditional nuzlocke’ so we defined our rules allowing us to have fun and explore the region to our heart’s content. Articles written on this play-through stated that the “odd-couple vibes these two have between them” mixed with the creative modding was “a recipe for successes on Youtube.”

To date, the ULTRAlocke is the most viewed play-through of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon on Youtube.
